The Manovill Conversations Loaded: Jews & Money opened Thursday, April 11 with a panel discussion on Jews, money and the media, featuring Todd Gitlin, Daphne Merkin, and Matthew Yglesias, moderated by Marc Tracy.  The conversation was far ranging, covering topics from Bernie Madoff and Sheldon Adelson, to enduring stereotypes of Jews in Hollywood and who really owns the media, as well as many fascinating aspects of Jewish identity vis-a-vis wealth and power.
