Former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer spoke about the corrosive effect of money on American politics on April 29 at the JCCSF as part of the Manovill Conversations Loaded: Jews and Money series to a sold out crowd in Kanbar Hall.  Starting off the lecture with a brief discussion of the political philosophies of John Rawls and Robert Nozick, liberalism versus libertarianism respectively, he then discussed his perspective of what he thinks is fair regarding government policy and reform, why he’s a Rawlsian, and why he thinks Citizens United was decided correctly.  He was persuasive, entertaining, and charming.
